This five-wicket haul allowed Ashwin to equal the legendary leg spinner Shane Warne for the second-highest number of five-wicket hauls in Test cricket, with both spinners having achieved 37 such feats.
With a total of 185 wickets in ICC World Test Championships, Ashwin stands as India’s most successful bowler and ranks as the second most successful bowler in the history of the tournament.
