External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated on Saturday that he will not engage in discussions with Pakistan during his forthcoming visit to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) conclave.
“This visit is intended for a multilateral event. My purpose is not to engage in dialogue regarding India-Pakistan relations; rather, I aim to fulfill my role as a responsible member of the SCO,” he remarked on the sidelines of an event in the national capital.
“However, as a courteous and civil individual, I will conduct myself appropriately,” he added.
Jaishankar also subtly criticized Pakistan, attributing the stagnation of the SAARC initiative to its actions.
