The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appeared poised to maintain its governance in Haryana, leading in 49 constituencies and effectively preventing a resurgence of the Congress party in the state after a ten-year hiatus, as indicated by the most recent data from the Election Commission’s website.
The Congress party was reported to be leading in 36 seats, while Independent candidates secured 3 seats and the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) claimed 2 seats, according to the trends.
Among the notable candidates, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and Independent candidate Savitri Jindal emerged victorious, whereas INLD’s Abhay Singh Chautala faced defeat and JJP’s Dushyant Chautala was reported to be trailing, based on the trends available at 4:15 PM.
