A pile of soil was discovered on the railway tracks, prompting the locomotive engineer to halt the train just in time. According to police reports, a dumper truck operator discharged the soil onto the tracks and subsequently fled the scene.
A passenger train experienced a temporary stop after the locomotive engineer noticed a mound of soil placed on the railway tracks near Raghuraj Singh station on Sunday, according to police reports. The soil was subsequently cleared from the tracks, allowing rail services to resume, as stated by SHO Devendra Bhadoria. “A small mound of soil obstructed the railway track, leading to the halt of a shuttle train from Raibareli,” Bhadoria explained. Local residents indicated that road construction activities are ongoing in the vicinity, which involve the nighttime transportation of soil using dumpers. On Sunday evening, a dumper driver, after unloading soil onto the railway track, fled the scene, he added.
