Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri declared on Monday that India and China have come to an agreement regarding patrolling protocols along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, subsequent to recent discussions held between officials from both nations. Misri stated that an agreement has been reached with China regarding the matters under discussion.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated that this progress is anticipated to facilitate a gradual disengagement at the border.
“Following the discussions held over the past few weeks, an agreement has been reached regarding the patrolling arrangements along the line of actual control in the India-China border region. This development is paving the way for disengagement and, ultimately, a resolution of the issues that emerged in these areas in 2020,” Misri remarked.
