Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin India’s commitment to peaceful resolutions of conflicts, specifically addressing the situation between Russia and Ukraine. The two leaders embraced during their meeting at the BRICS Summit held in Kazan, Russia.
The summit, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, is currently taking place in Kazan.
PM Modi acknowledged the growing interest from various nations to join the BRICS coalition, highlighting its success. He stated, “We have maintained communication with all parties involved in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Our stance has consistently been that dialogue is essential for resolving disputes. We advocate for peaceful solutions to conflicts, and India stands ready to assist in fostering peace.”
At the conclusion of the summit, a ‘Kazan Declaration’ will be issued, officially welcoming five new members to the BRICS group.
