The severe cyclonic storm, designated as Cyclone Dana, is currently advancing northwest at a speed of 12 km/h and has resulted in significant rainfall in certain areas of Odisha and West Bengal.
Cyclone Dana, which is anticipated to make landfall tonight, is presently situated over the east-central Bay of Bengal and is projected to strengthen into a severe cyclonic storm between Bhitarkanika National Park and Dhamra port. The storm is expected to produce wind speeds ranging from 100 to 110 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 120 km/h, and is classified as a tropical storm. It is important to note that tropical cyclones are regarded as some of the most destructive storms on the planet.
