The parliamentary committee examining the chairperson of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Madhabi Puri Buch, has postponed the questioning session of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) after the SEBI chief indicated that she would not attend due to “personal exigencies.”
SEBI officials are currently under scrutiny concerning the performance of stock regulators following significant allegations made by Hindenburg Research, a firm based in the United States.
