In the early hours of Saturday, Israeli forces launched targeted strikes on military targets within Iran, in retaliation for a ballistic missile attack that took place on October 1, as reported by officials to the Associated Press. The Israeli military stated, “Since October 7, the Iranian regime and its proxies have been engaged in relentless assaults on Israel from seven different fronts, including direct attacks from Iranian territory. Like any sovereign nation, Israel has the right and the duty to respond to such threats.”
